Situated on a tightly constrained site, issues including existing high voltage overhead electric cables, foul sewers, rights of way and potential flooding issues needed attention before any construction work could commence. RDC worked with the constraints to deliver four bespoke, luxury dwellings, initially delivering Outline Planning Permission with a scheme based around the various constraints.
Following on from the granting of Outline Permission, RDC managed the disposal of the site to four separate, private developers, and secured detailed planning permission for each individual dwelling, with designs to match the local vernacular.
Having successfully secured all required planning permissions, RDC project managed the construction phase of the development, initially managing technical and conditional approvals, coordinating construction teams and consultants, producing construction drawings and details, and providing Principal Designer services to satisfy Health and Safety requirements.
Working closely with landowners and the construction teams, RDC also provided contract management and quantity surveying services to control development costs on a highly individual scheme, and finally coordinate the sales of each home.
